!!!!!!!!!!! 30 lots on auction !!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks one and all for participating in the last one!
!!!!!! To all auction newcomers !!!!!!!!!
How does this auction work?
Firstly you need to register with "U.B. Auctions", then you have the luxury of purchasing birds at
auction from the comfort of your living space.
At online auction you can scrutinise the birds fully, with full page photos and have a good close look
at what you are spending your money on. This is hard to do if the bird is flying around an aviary
or hops about in a show box.
The highest bidder after the reserve price has been met, wins the lot number.
If the reserve isn't met, the highest bidder will have the chance of an counter offer on the lot number,
a figure between thier last high bid and the reserve, after the sale!
All birds will be air freighted anywhere in Australia.
No birds are freighted till payment has been received.
This auction is for within Australia only.
Good luck bidding.

!!! What's all the fuss about? !!!
A Green Cheek Conure of course!
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
These little birds are a bit bigger than a Budgie and are just as easy to look after. Green Cheek Conures
originate from Brazil, Bolivia and northwest Argentina. Now that this bird is well established in Australian
aviculture, it is becoming available to the pet market at a reasonable price.
These little birds are affectionate, love human companionship and interact well with the family.
We have had one in our household for the last two years and cannot fault them. They are quiet and do not
stress when left during the day with a few toys, till the family gets home. Being a small bird, a medium
cage is all that is needed. Some people have found these birds have even bred in their living room when given
a companion of the opposite sex. Really, these birds are a little undiscovered treasure to the pet world and when
discovered the breeders won't be able to breed enough of these beautiful birds.
We have road tested many pet birds through the years and the Green Cheek Conures have earned their place at
the top of the list when compared to many other species.

" Male "
Eclectus parrot
Available Now!
This cock bird was handreared, has been and is an absolute pleasure to handle.
He is a quiet bird with a beautiful temperament, is eating well
and is ready for his new home now.
He was hatched on:24-3-08.
Closed rung : 202.15A - Red.
Eclectus parrots
are a bit different from any other parrot. In this species nature has produced a colour reversal (to the norm) where
the females are red and the males are green. As the females spend most of their time in the nest box or
in the wild - a hollow tree, she is therefore at less risk of being attacked by a bird of prey. The males on
the other hand have to gather all food and are in more danger. The female has sorted that problem out in the
wild by having more than one male to look after her and has up to 5 males looking for food for the young
in the nest. If a male does get attacked, she then still manages to rear the young with the remainder of the males.
The males often include some of her sons that help till they are old enough to look for a hen of their own.
There are not many birds that we know of that have these traits and puts this species a bit apart from the rest.
The array of colours these birds are bestowed with is quite stunning, males with their satin velvety green - red and blue and
the females with their rich ruby red and blue/purple.
In the wild these birds are part carnivorous and eat insects and grubs and so enjoy in captivity cooked chicken meat and
bones and the likes of stewed lamb and beef plus boiled eggs, these foods are a rich source of protein and
amino acids. These essential nutrients are low in a diet of only vegetables and seed so the bird would have to over-eat to derive
enough in its system for the required amount of protein and amino acids it needs and so becomes obese or at risk of being malnourished.
This type of bird also likes and needs, plenty of fruit and vegetables raw or cooked in its diet as well as rice, pasta, seed etc.
They also have a greater need for vitamin A and therefore like and need all the fruit and vegetables that contain
plenty of vitamin A eg; red capsicums, carrots, beetroot and their leaves, pumpkin and pumpkin seeds, etc.
They will also benefit from, on a regular basis, access to sunlight to absorb Vitamin D3, a component needed
for good feather structure. Calcium can be administered via a liquid on their food or in the form of Cuttle bone.
A beautiful pet for a person that likes a not too active pet bird.
Eclectus aren't fussy eaters and with the right knowledge, are easy to look after and a hardy companion.
If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to call us.
